CONFLICT MANAGEMENT, RESOLUTION & TRANSFORMATION
As we are all aware, conflict has attracted a lot of interrogations because of its rampant occurrence and the damaging ways it has affected a lot of individuals and communities all over the world. This perhaps explains why there are divergent definitions of the term conflict in the literature.
Different scholars have defined conflict in many ways. From being the existence of non-compatibility or disagreements between two actors (individuals, groups, organizations or nations) in their interaction over the issues of interests, values, beliefs, emotions, goals, space, positions, scarce resources etc, to being any situation or process in which two or more social entities are linked by at least one form of antagonistic psychological relation or at least one form of antagonistic interaction.
However, it is important to note that conflict can have positive impacts on society if managed properly.
